NME had a large turnout of runners at this year's Walking Tall 25K / 50K trail race at Big Hill Pond State Park in Tennessee. Teammate Sean Hilsdon is co-founder and co-director of this race, and North Mississippi Endurance once again provided the supplies, equipment, and volunteers to assist the runners at the aid station for miles 6.5, 9.6, 23, and 26.1 of the race. Some North Mississippi Endurance race team members took on a huge challenge by participating in the Hennepin 100 race in Colona, IL. Completing their first 100-miler were Sandra Parker and Ben Shaw, while Will Christensen completed the 50-mile distance and Savannah Crittenden notched the 50K while also crewing the other team members. What a great accomplishment for our athletes! Also making the trip to assist as crew and/or pacers were Kevin Byrd, Don Barr,Edwin Owen, and Sean Hilsdon.

Race team members Don Barr, Julie Landrum, and Ben Shaw ran and completed the Tupelo Marathon. Both Don and Julie captured 2nd place in there age group categories! Also, team members David Branner and Dan Wolford supported the race as volunteers.

Team members Ben Shaw and Sandra Parker, in preparation for their upcoming 100-miler, tackled a challenging night race at the Full Moon 50K in Arkansas' Ouachita National Forest.

Team member Savannah Crittenden passed a major test of perseverance and dedication by completing the inaugural Viper 200 mile run at Shelby Farms. With pacing assistance from Sandra Parker, Savannah battled multiple days and nights of severe weather to complete this amazing accomplishment!

NME team members Tommy Bennett and Ray Acosta travelled to Greenwood, MS to compete in the Viking Half Marathon, with both runners bringing home 1st Place awards in their age category!

Two NME team members travelled to central Arkansas and tackled the ever-popular Sylamore 50K / 25K. In miserable weather conditions, Sean Hilsdon completed the 50K distance, while Sandra Parker knocked out the 25K.

Several NME team members participated in the Moccasin 24 hour run on the Wolf River trails. Those running were: Will Christensen Chelsea Harrison Emily Corbitt Dan Wolford Ben Harrison Rachel Macagni Gary Owens while Sandra Parker and Hollie Trim joined as volunteers.

Several NME team members took part in the Mamba 100 trail race on the Wolf River Trails in Memphis, with our own John Griffin winning first place in the 100-mile race with a time of just over 17 hours! John Griffin and Dan Semore carried the banner for our state in the brutal Georgia Death Race. Contested in the wilds of north Georgia, GDR offers 70+ miles, 15K feet of elevation gain, and DNS/DNF's aplenty. Both our team members had great races, with John Griffin managing a top 10 finish!

Our team was proud to partner with the 1st annual Lucky Dog Pub Run at Silo Square to raise money for Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation and Coldwater River Nature Conservancy. Team members Ben Shaw, Sherry Rogers, Edd Peyton, Savannah Crittenden, and Edwin Owen participated as runners. More NME team members logged completed ultra marathon distances by competing in the Farmdale Trail races in East Peoria, IL. Both Hollie Trim and Will Christensen completed the 50 mile distance, while Ben and Chelsea Harrison competed in the half marathon. Great job by all the athletes!

Sandra Parker, Ben Shaw, and Savannah Crittenden recently ventured to South Dakota where completed the Lean Horse 50 Miler. They were joined by teammate Edwin Owen, who ran the 20-mile distance.

Several team members went to Corinth, MS to participate in the 44th running of the Coke 10K, one of the oldest continuously held races in Mississippi. Despite the rainy conditions, everyone ran a great race. Sandra Parker and David Branner both brought home the first place trophy and prize for their age divisions. The Big Buffalo event at Shelby Farms has turned into an annual tradition for the NME team, with a large contingent of friends and family once again turning out to participate. Team members Becky Frost, Petey Elliotte, Kathy Owens, Edd Peyton, and Will Christensen braved frigid temperatures to race the 46th annual challenging but popular Hill & Dale 8-Miler at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. The course is difficult, but everyone had a great run!
