Team members Becky Frost, Petey Elliotte, Kathy Owens, Edd Peyton, and Will Christensen braved frigid temperatures to race the 46th annual challenging but popular Hill & Dale 8-Miler at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. The course is difficult, but everyone had a great run!

In support of our team mission to promote an active and healthy community, North Mississippi Endurance was pleased to provide an informational booth at the recent Healthier 901 Fest at Shelby Farms Park in Memphis. Several team representatives enjoyed the day while engaging with local residents, providing fitness information and discussion. Several NME team members ran the Memphis race Orion 5K, which supports the Meals on Wheels program. Among the participants, Yolanda Lacy brought home the award for 3rd place in her age group! Those running included: Will Christensen Ben Harrison Chelsea Harrison Hollie Trim Yolanda Lacy

Beth Little recorded another solid performance, completing the Strolling Jim 40 Mile race in Wartrace, Tennessee. Great job, Beth!

A group of NME runners made their way to Fayetteville, Arkansas to participate in a Ragnar trail relay. The team completed ~120 miles over the course of two days and nights. Participants were: Gary Owens Ben Owens Sam Renfrow Hollie Trim Dan Wolford Ben Harrison Will Christensen Emily Corbitt

For the second year in a row, John Griffin competed in the brutal Georgia Death Race. Run in the hills of north Georgia, GDR provides around 15K feet of elevation gain over the course of 70+ miles. John had a great race and finished 4th overall! Congratulations John!

Team members Ray Acosta and Kevin Byrd ran the annual Germantown Half Marathon, and Dan Wolford came out to support and encourage friends along the course.

Hollie Trim and Ben Harrison took on this year's Mike Cooley Overton Park 10K Trail Race in Memphis. The weather was cold and wet, the trails muddy and slick. But Ben and Hollie had a great race, with Hollie bringing home the 2nd place trophy in her age division!

Team member Staci Thomas travelled to Hawaii to tackle the grueling Hurt 100 trail race. Teammates April and Sean Hilsdon went along to serve as crew and pacers for Staci. What a great adventure!

Gavin May and John Griffin took on the ABF Marathon at the Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas this year, tackling 7000 feet of elevation gain over the course of the race. Outstanding efforts from two trail stalwarts.

A large group of North Mississippi Endurance team members participated in the inaugural Mamba 100 trail race, both as runners and supporting crew. North Mississippi Endurance had a large presence at this year's Homerun for Habitat 5K in Southaven. Several members competed and brought home awards, while many others came out to staff the NME-provided water station for all race participants. Additionally, many of our members are instrumental to putting on this race by serving on the race committee. Two team members turned in great performances at the Love Your Neighbor 5K in Southaven. Both runners recorded podium finishers, with Savannah Crittenden taking 1st Overall and Tommy Bennett finishing 3rd Overall.

Multiple team members went downtown over Memorial Day weekend and ran this popular half-marathon. Those running the race were Gary Owens, Kathy Owens, Dan Wolford, Emily Corbitt, Fallynne Kelly, Chelsea Harrison, Hollie Trim, and Will Christensen. Also, Sandra Parker and Sherry Rogers participated as a volunteers on the finish line crew and at a water stop.

Several North Mississippi Endurance athletes made their way to Indianapolis to compete in the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, a half marathon distance that includes 2.5 miles around the track of the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For the 3rd running of the Almira 50 at Village Creek State Park, North Mississippi Endurance once again sponsored and staffed the turnaround aid station at mile 13/37, providing support to the ultra runners on a very warm day, including two NME team members. Gavin May competed in the epic Ouachita Trail 50 in central Arkansas, and the trail stalwart brought home 1st Place in the Masters Division!

With an epic achievement for one of our NME team members, Rachel Macagni completed the Canebrake 200-mile race this week. Rachel covered the 200 miles and roughly 22K feet of elevation gain in just over 80 hours. What a display of endurance and dedication. Congratulations Rachel!

Several NME team members participated in the 2024 MRTC Winter Off-road Series. The series consisted of four races of 3K, 5K, 8K and 10K distances over a period of seven weeks. Participants were Sonya Gaylord, Anthony Lane, Dan Semore, Shepard Semore, and Jackson Lane.

Team members Kathy Owens, Petey Elliotte, and Becky Frost travelled to the Florida panhandle to participate in this 50K 3-person relay race. They made a strong accounting of themselves and ran a great race!

The North Mississippi Endurance team, along with a big assist from our Trail Trippers friends, continued the tradition of supporting runners by sponsoring and staffing the turnaround aid station at Swamp Stomper 2024. We had our usual large contingent of team members running one of the distances at the 2023 Memphis St. Jude Marathon Weekend, many running as heroes in support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Gavin May headed to Alabama to take on the Pinhoti 100 mile trail race. With crewing assists from teammates Stephen Whatley, John Griffin, and Robert Tate, Gavin completed over 16K feet of elevation gain over the course of his 100-mile finish. Congratulations Gavin!

NME had a large turnout of runners at this year's Walking Tall 25K / 50K trail race at Big Hill Pond State Park. Teammate Sean Hilsdon is co-founder and co-director of this race, and our own John Griffin took 1st place in the 50K for the 2nd year in a row! Team member John Griffin ventured to the mountains of north Georgia to tackle the famously-brutal Cruel Jewel 100-miler, which features over 25 thousand feet of elevation gain over the course of the race. John had an amazing event, finishing 7th overall in just 27 hours. Congratulations John!

Congratulations to our team members Gavin May and John Griffin for conceiving and executing an exciting new race for the Memphis trail community, the inaugural Area 51 Trail Race in Coldwater, MS! This first-ever running garnered positive reviews from all the participants, and North Mississippi Endurance had a large contingent on hand particpating in both the 12K and 5K distances. Ben Shaw travelled to McNairy County in Tennessee to participate in the annual Sheriff's Challenge Trail Race on the always-fun trails of Big Hill Pond State Park. Ben captured 1st Place in his age division!

NME had multiple team members participating in Memphis Runners Track Club's MORE 5K. Everyone enjoyed a great race, with both Sherry Rogers and Yolanda Lacy capturing 2nd place in their resspective age divisions! "The Big Buffalo event at Shelby Farms has turned into an annual tradition for the NME team, with a large contingent of friends and family once again turning out to participate. Dan Semore displayed great determination by completing the LOViT 100 Miler in the Ouachita National Forest in Arkansas. Dan endured over 15K feet of elevation gain in becoming the latest North Mississippi Endurance team member to earn a buckle at this race. Great job Dan!

Tommy Bennett travelled to California to run the Disneyland Half Marathon to complete the Disney Coast to Coast Challenge after finishing the Disney World Marathon the prior weekend. Great job Tommy!

Multiple NME team members participated in this year's Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in Florida. Brian Swanson ran the Half-Marathon, Tommy Bennett completed the Full Marathon, while Savannah Crittenden finished the Dopey Challenge of a 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon, and Full Marathon over 4 days.

NME team member Beth Little ran a great race at the Gateway to the Delta 10 Miler in Batesville, MS, which is directed by our teammate Stephen Whatley. Beth won 1st place in her age division!

Ben Harrison grabbed a PR at the Peer Power Big River Crossing Half Marathon, which is the next-to-last race in the MRTC Road Race Series. Just one race left for Ben to complete the 10 race series.
